Program Details

Yoga Vimoksha comprehensive course schedule includes asanas, asanas methodology (adjustments and theory), Pranayama, and meditation technique. Mysore style is practiced on Saturdays where students get a chance to improve their practice without the teacher leading them but the teacher will be present to adjust the postures if necessary. It is an intense experience that helps to develop a firm foundation of inner discipline.

The 200-hour yoga teacher training certification course taught in Vimoksha Yoga is divided into seven parts. The seven parts are:

  • Technique: includes the training and practicing of asanas, Pranayamas, Kriyas, chanting, and meditation
  • Teaching: includes the training and teaching of demonstration, observation, assistance / correction, instruction, teaching styles, and learning about qualities of a yoga teacher and the student’s process of learning
  • Anatomy and Physiology: includes the study of physical anatomy, the skeleton, organs and muscles, cardiovascular system, Pancha Kosha, and nutrition
  • Philosophy and Ethics: this part includes the study of yoga scriptures, ethics for yoga teachers, the life of a Yogi.
  • Practicum: in these hours, the students have to observe and assist classes led by the main teacher and also teach by themselves
  • Karma Yoga: the students have to help to run the yoga school including the office work, organization, and public relations
  • Self-practice: study of recommended books and participating in discussion and practice of all the above-mentioned topics
The objectives of the course
  • To let the students reflect and experience yoga “A Way of Life” and not just merely practices to be done in some hours a day
  • To motivate the students to become good Yoga Sadhaka (practitioner) and start working on the path of yoga that brings transformation and not simply a change and helps them to acquire a sound body, a superior mind, and a higher spiritual consciousness
  • To prepare well-trained yoga teachers to teach yoga to school students and young adults without any health problems
  • To develop overall personality of the learners
  • To motivate students to take up teaching yoga as a profession
  • Minimum six months yoga practitioner only apply for YTTC
  • Those who are really serious to do YTTC or self-practice only apply for YTTC
  • YTTC is not for broken bones or serious medical issues
  • YTTC is not for leisure purpose
Duration of the course
  • The Course is designed over a period of four weeks with 200 hours
  • The Course will be conducted five and a half days in a week from 6:30 to 18:00
  • The food provided will be satwik and wholesome
  • 08:00 – 09:30 Ashtanga vinyasa practice (primary series)
  • 09:30 – 10:15 Breakfast
  • 10:15 – 10:45 Karma yoga
  • 11:00 – 13:00 Asanas adjustments and techniques / asanas theory / teaching methodology
  • 10:30 – 11:30 Karma yoga
  • 11:30 – 13:00 Lecture / alignment, adjustment, techniques, practicum, methodology, teaching practice
  • 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch and study break
  • 14:00 – 15:00 Yoga philosophy / anatomy
  • 16:00 – 17:30 Basic and advance Hatha yoga / Pranayama / meditation
  • 19:30 – 20:30 Dinner


Neeraj Kumar has a post graduate diploma in Yogic Science from Shree Jay Ram Ashram in Rishikesh. He has been practicing yoga and meditation for more than 15 years, and his interest lies in following the spiritual path and knowing his real self. He traveled across major places in India teaching Yoga and meditation. He has mastered the art of Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Thai Yoga and Therapeutic yoga and has been a part of the that Yoga school team for 4 years.


Reejo got his yoga certification at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta centre in Neyyar Dam, Kerala and his Ashtanga Vinyasa certification at the Ashtanga Vinyasa from Yogadarshanam Mysore from Acharya Santhosh. He aims to focus on health aspects of his students and move towards the spiritual aspects of the yoga practice, important to preserve the values and essence of classical hatha yoga practice without distortion from its purpose and incorporate in every session. He also wants to focus on health aspects of his students and move towards the spiritual aspects of the yoga practice, making it a point to preserve the values and essence of classical hatha yoga practice without distortion from its purpose and incorporate in every session. Reejo is an E-RYT 200 Yoga Instructor and is certified by the Yoga Alliance USA.


Yoga Vimoksha offers air-conditioned deluxe rooms at an associate property with attached bathroom, and television, just near the beautiful beach of Sernabatim in Goa. The rooms are single occupancy or twin sharing occupancy, which is subject to availability.


Food supplement of 250 USD per person is applicable. Three daily meals can be provided at the center and are 100 percent vegetarian, but not vegan (containing milk products). However, vegan food can be arranged if notification is given in advance.

Solo Traveller

I loved the location, structure of the course. Had an absolutely fabulous time there – course was intense but we had so much fun, and the view of sea makes everything even better. Missing Goa already – would love to come back at some point.
